Quality policy
The basis for SeaRail’s operations is to clarify and respond to our customers’ needs, requests and requirements. SeaRail develops, markets and supplies transport services, which ensure the continuity of our operations and promote improvements in the competitiveness of our customers.
Quality assurance and aims
Our is based on ISO 9001 standard. Quality assurance is a permanent part of both our daily operations and our long-term development. The aims of the company are to ensure the effectiveness, reliability and continuity of our operations, to prevent errors and, through all of these, to attain the satisfaction of both the customers and the personnel.
The quality aims are monitored and any deviations are reported. Based on our own evaluations and the feedback from our customers and personnel, the quality of our operations is improved continuously in co-operation with our customers and subcontractors.
Quality management is a part of SeaRail’s comprehensive management system. This system is also supported by our environmental management system based on ISO 14001 standard. The management system extends to all company operations in Finland, and the aim for the future is to expand the system to all other company offices as well.
Quality subcontractors
Achieving smooth transport and customer services requires active effort and contact with the various parties involved in the transport chain. When concluding subcontracts, we try to give priority to those companies whose quality system or similar systematic procedures enable them to guarantee the competitiveness and quality of their operations as well as quality development. Our subcontractors are informed about SeaRail’s quality system and the obligations required of them. The quality assurance of the subcontractors, and its development are monitored regularly.
Commitment to quality work
The company management is committed to supporting the realisation of our quality objectives by creating the framework for the development of quality service production. Through training and regularly provided information, we develop the competencies of our personnel to handle their work tasks. Every SeaRail employee must observe the company’s quality policy and be accountable for the outcome of their own work.
